SPACE DVA 250 B
The Space DVA250B is our top-level disc-player, featuring a simple yet elegant 6-button front panel design as well as exceptional audio and video capabilities.
Disc format compatibilities include DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, MP3, HDCD, VCD, SVCD, Kodak Picture CD and others.
The disc drive is specially selected for high performance audio. The disc operation is smooth and fast, and completely silent. Even with the many disc formats available you will not sacrifice two- channel CD stereo- in fact DVA250B should be compared with CD Players in the same price range.
The audio section of DVA250B features a 5.1 analog output, where the stereo output is available in balanced XLR configuration. This makes DVA250B a perfect match for Thule Audio’s SPACE series amplifiers, PR350B/PA350B and IA350B, which also have a balanced signal path in two-channel mode. Thus you will obtain a fully balanced signal path from the analog source to the speakers.
The DVA250B features the highly acclaimed Burr-Brown PCM1793 D/A converter with multi-level Delta-Sigma and a separate power supply for the D/A converter section.
Or you could upgrade with the DIGIT II 192kHz asyncronous upsampling board, which will suppress all jitter from the disc.
The video section of DVA250B includes PAL/NTSC progressive scan video with advanced film mode (frame by frame interpolation). The video outputs are buffered with a high speed and high current amplifier. This buffering will ensure that the quality of the high frequency progressive scan signals are maintained through the video cables. The DVA250B is therefore a perfect companion for any projector, LCD or plasma screens with progressive scan video inputs.
DVA250B has the same curved brushed aluminium front as all other Thule products, and also lacks any superfluous of buttons and knobs. It is a harmonious and integrated part of a complete Space series system. It can be operated from the six buttons on the front panel or via its remote control.
Thule Audio has prioritised a simple
straightforward user interface. For instance all menu
choices are shown in both the display of DVA250B and on
the screen. This means that you don’t have to turn
on your TV-set or projector to operate the disc player,
which is particularly useful when playing CDs or DVDs.
